Travel West is a licensed travel agent and professional outback tour operator, specialising in nature-based experiences, Australian history and outback characters. Travel West Outback Tours take you on 7 night/8 day fully inclusive accommodated personalized tours with a maximum of 18 non-smoking guests

Graham and Deb live in Charleville and conduct all the tours. Graham has a faultless driving record having driven road trains through many parts of Australia and then driving touring coaches in Australia and Europe. "Mud Maps" of the Western River/Lake Eyre systems by Graham are a highlight on all tours.

Deb's many years in the tourism industry are obvious from the attention to detail taken in the preparation of all tours. Plunger coffee and pot tea with a homemade Anzac biscuit is one of Deb's favourite times of the day!!

During your time with Graham and Deb, you will be invited to join them around the campfire or on the back deck of their home, which is on 62 acres just out of Charleville. All tours begin and end in Charleville. Options to join their tours include travel on the "Westlander" train, flying with Qantas or self-drive. Free car/caravan parking is available for the week you are on tour.

Graham and Deb
After growing up on a farm in Kojonup, Graham spent time shearing and cray fishing before driving road-trains for many years in South West WA, the Kimberly's and the Northern Territory. He then went on to driving express coaches from Darwin to Perth and Perth to Sydney and touring Ayers Rock many times.

Graham's desire to see the rest of the world took him to Saudi Arabia and onto London, Israel and Spain before driving Dutch coaches for a London based tour company. Graham spent 5 years operating tours to Europe, Northern Africa, Scandinavia and the Eastern Block. Spending winters in Austria skiing and having a great time.

Graham moved to Cunnamulla in 1990 and on the 1st of October, 1997 opened Travel West. A year later Graham's passion for the outback led him to develop tour itineraries to give others the opportunity to visit this wonderful part of the outback.

2003 saw Deb join Graham at Travel West Outback Tours. Deb grew up in Sydney and worked in Inbound Tourism for many years, visiting the USA and South Africa on several occasions to promote Australia as a destination and escorting tour groups throughout Australia.

Prior to Deb's move to Travel West Outback Tours she worked for Sunlover Holidays Reservations and most recently Tourism Queensland's International Marketing Department.

Like Graham, Deb is passionate about the product that Travel West offers and her experience now plays an important role of the very busy tour schedule.

2006 saw the closure of our travel agency in Cunnamulla to allow for us to concentrate on our tours and relocate to Charleville in the summer of 2007. Charleville is more central to our tour operation and a great place to live.
